Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP)

Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP)

The Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP) provides an opportunity for Host Institutions in Ghana to submit a proposal requesting the expertise of U.S. academics and professionals to carry out projects in the country.  Fulbright Specialists are highly qualified U.S. academics (such as professors and researchers) and U.S. professionals (such as attorneys, business professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, economists, security experts, and public administration professionals) whose qualifications and experience are at the faculty or full professional-level.  Fulbright Specialists build capacity and establish partnerships benefiting participants, institutions, and communities both in the United States and in Ghana.  FSP promotes long-term collaboration between U.S. and host institutions in Ghana.  Fulbright Specialists work with Host Institutions for a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 42 days (including travel days and a brief U.S. Embassy Orientation).  Eligible Host Institutions include but are not limited to: academic institutions, government institutions, cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations, and public health-related institutions.  Learn more about hosting a Fulbright Specialist:
